Tasting Notes
Brilliant ruby with a light garnet rim. Clear and intense nose with notes of cherry, blackberries and some orange peel, inviting. Round and balanced on the palate, shows lots of ripe fruit, opens up with supple tannins, flows calmly, juicy, firm pressure on the finish.
More about the tastingSome vanilla and smoke, nougat, coffee, candied cherry, very youthful and closed. High-quality dry tannins on the palate, smoothly embedded, seamlessly round and full-bodied, the power seems better integrated than in 2007, great length, definitely alcohol-led, but there is so much meat in this wine that it holds together despite the rather mild acidity. Dense, pithy and combined with opulence.
