Brilliant, intense garnet red. Inviting, fragrant nose, initially showing notes of tobacco, then lots of plum and preserved cherry, also blackberry. Lots of ripe fruit on the attack, opens up with dense tannins, gripping, still a little rough at the back, but time will smooth this out.
