The red wine Tenuta Sallier de la Tur La Monaca Rosso Monreale DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Etna in Italy.
Very dark, rich ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Intense aroma of ripe cherry and plum on the nose, with savoury aromas of cinnamon and cedar wood as well as slightly herbal notes in the background. Fresh and juicy on the palate, straightforward with a fine fruit core and good tannin structure.
