Tasting Notes
Almost radiant on the nose: a mixture of redcurrant, caramel toffee and orange peel, with some wax, malt, and chocolate truffles. It's very firm on the palate with a tight, almost dry structure, yet nonetheless sweet and fruit-driven. Not exuberantly creamy, but instead focused on nerve and substance. The overall impression is immensely tactile-mineral.

For David Guimaraens, this tawny is the ideal companion to foie gras.
