Tasting Notes
Medium carmine garnet, broad ochre rim. Attractive cassis, fine smoky herbal spice, black berries, licorice, delicate animal nuances, a hint of cardamom, pepper, multi-faceted bouquet. Complex, ripe heart cherries, some nougat, present tannins, ripe plums on the finish, lingers well, graphite in the aftertaste, subtle residual sweetness on the finish, classic Puente Alto Cabernet style. The tannins appear somewhat dry, which inhibits the drinking flow somewhat.
