Toasty new wood, plus buttery and citric aromas. Powerful on the palate, acidity and body both have some intensity, a layer of phenolics lends youthful astringency, a striking Pinot Gris with a mineral foundation, made for ageing. In this young state, it should definitely be used as a food companion.
