A fine, smoky spiciness already fulfils the promise of "shell limestone" in the aroma. On the palate, the wine initially shows a great deal of suppleness, with a ripe, supporting acidity and a pinch of phenolics creating tension. The spiciness of the finish is reminiscent of pretzels.
