The white wine Erden Treppchen Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Dr. Loosen has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Rich bright fruit on the nose - ripe peach, nectarine and tangerine in particular - with a slate note and lime zest. Lots of power on the palate, again with an echo of bright fruit from the nose, before nutmeg and some phenolics also come through. Good interplay of sweetness and acidity, creating excellent length. Great ageing potential.
