Initially a little smoke on the nose, roasted aromas, ink, cherry, a hint of rhubarb, bay leaf, smoked bacon, pepper and yeast. Straightforward and with good tension on the palate in a compact structure, it has a medium level fine-grained tannins and is emphatically dry with ripe acidity and a mineral base.
