The red wine G, vintage 2004 from the winery Weingut Gesellmann has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Deep garnet, purple reflections, subtle ochre rim. An inviting bouquet, with notes of ripe plum, hints of cherry confit and caramel. Complex on the palate, ripe blackberries and plums, vivid tannins, a hint of sweetness and dried fruit on the finish, has perhaps just passed its zenith. An elegant, mature food wine, still has good freshness on the finish. (2025, drink, hold +10)
