The white wine »Opus-Oskar« Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Jülg has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the one hand, the aroma is discreetly toasty from the wood, while on the other it shows a restrained but multi-layered varietal spiciness: with notes of anise and caraway, dried orange peel, and very ripe nectarine. On the palate, the wine has a high density with taut acidity and with powerful but really fine phenolics. Length, depth, differentiation, mineral bite - outstanding!
