The white wine »Alte Reben« Drohn Hofberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Tom Benz has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Lots of honey on the nose, some slate and herbal undertones. An aroma characterised by spontaneous fermentation. On the palate, the wine has a very fine phenolic character and an overall impression of lightness, the ripe acidity carries the structure, which is completely devoid of sugar. Exciting and enigmatic.
