The white wine »Dit is der Clou von't Janze« Grauer Burgunder, vintage 2020 from the winery Weinhaus Bettina Schumann has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauer Burgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
A deep, clear salmon pink in colour. On the nose, the wine has a hint of oak, notes of rosehip and apple peel tea. Aromas of spontaneous fermentation. And the herbal notes of a southern Baden garrigue. Despite its measured alcohol content, the wine has a certain opulence on the palate, with a mellow phenolic character and a firm acidity structure balancing the body. The wine is dense, mineral, has a lot of substance and a high enjoyment factor. A Pinot Gris from jotwede, but unmistakably with a Berlin muzzle.
