Whispering Angel Releases Limited Edition Bottle for Queen's Jubilee

Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her platinum jubilee in 2022. Whispering Angel have released a limited edition of their popular rosé in time for the Jubilee Pageant on 5 June.

Whispering Angel, the popular Provençal rosé wine made by Château d’Esclans, will be released in limited-edition bottles featuring the “Jubilee Pageant logo adorning an embossed, platinum-shaded Whispering Angel label.”

A weekend of celebration

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Queen Elisabeth’s accession to the throne in 1952, Britons will enjoy an extra bank holiday, turning the first weekend of June into a Jubilee Weekend. Sunday, 5th of June will see an official Platinum Jubilee Pageant in London with “all the excitement and spectacle of an international parade and carnival – awe-inspiring and filled with marvel and delight.”

Strong connections

Sacha Lichine, who launched the Whispering Angel brand in 2006, notes that the limited edition bottles were “inspired in part by the strong connection between the United Kingdom and France, so it seems fitting that they are being recognised and included alongside so many revered British companies and brands also partnering for the Queen’s Platinum celebration.”

Whispering Angel is a pale pink rosé made from Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre & Tibouren, largely from old vines grown in La Motte, Provence. The bottles, priced at the usual £20, will be available in select UK supermarkets and retailers from late April.
