Taste of London: tickets on sale now
London’s foodie takeover returns to Regent’s Park for five days of feasting, June 14-18.
Every summer Regent's Park becomes the epicentre of the city’s food scene for what organisers describe as a “next level food-fuelled garden party”. Great news for the capital’s legions of foodies looking to mingle with top-notch chefs and get their sticky fingers on some wonderful artisan producers. Channelling the festival vibe, afternoon and evening sessions at Taste London ooze with masterclasses and drip with great restaurants and tasty pop-ups, all seasoned with some of London’s hottest established cooking talent and bright young things of the future.
More and more is being added to the line-up each week, but already the likes of Burger and Lobster, Flesh & Buns, Dim Sum Terrace and Roti King are warming up to bring their particular brand of deliciousness to the assembled masses. Chefs confirmed so far include Michelin-starred Tom Brown, familiar to many from the Great British Menu, the Coal Office’s Dan Pelles, and winner of MasterChef: The Professionals 2020, Alex Webb.
Taste Fire Pit
There’s a new Flames of Portugal masterclass this year too, featuring some top names from the country’s exciting cooking scene, including two-Michelin-starred Henrique Sa Pessoa (JOIA) and Nuno Mendes (Lisboeta). The theme of open-fire cooking continues at the Taste Fire Pit, the true heart of the event. Expect gastro-pyrotechnics from the likes of Hoppers' Karan Gokani, and World Food Champion 2021 Preston Nguyen, brilliant demonstrations ably supported by thumping tunes from DJ BBQ and the Fire Pit Crew.
With festival sponsors including illy coffee, Bloom London Dry Gin, el Jimador Tequila and Prosecco DOC there will be plenty of liquid refreshment to keep the party going. They are even brewing up a Craft Beer and Cider Trail featuring some of the UK’s master brewing talent.
