An 100 bis 120 jährigen Kirschbäume, welche bereits über fünf Generationen gepflegt werden, wachsen in der Zentralschweiz die "Brennkirschen", welche Urs Hecht für seinen Edelbrand verwendet. Die Hochstammbäume, von welchen auf Initiative von Urs Hecht in den letzten Jahren etwa 500 neu gepflanzt wurden, lieben luftigen und leichten Boden. Zum richtigen Zeitpunkt Mitte bis Ende Juli vom Baum geschüttelt, enthalten die Kirschen das volle Fruchtaroma. Nach separater Gärung mit grösster Umsicht verarbeitet, produziert Urs Hecht einen Kirschbrand mit 42 Volumenprozenten. Was dann nach fünf Jahren Lagerung in limitierter und nummerierter Auflage in den Verkauf gelangt, ist ein vollmundig edler Kirschbrand, der sich ausgezeichnet mit einer Grand Cru Schokolade (z.B. Ariba 72%) versteht.

Clear, warm cherry fruit, bitter almond, fresh cherry notes, nuances of cherry blossom. Soft and harmonious on the palate, but not a bit sweet, again showing intense cherry notes right into the long, harmonious finish. Ends spicy and fruity.
