The red wine Ampeleia IGT, vintage 2015 from the winery Ampeleia has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant, rich ruby. Very rich and appealing nose, intense notes of plums, mulberries, wild raspberries, fine savouriness in the background. Rich and lush fruitiness, opens with bold, grippy tannins, showing good depth, finishing with hints of oregano and rosemary.
