The red wine Ampeleia IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Ampeleia has been rated in 2015 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby with purple shimmers. Appealing nose with notes of blackberry, plum, also lots of rich spicy notes, especially pepper and coriander seeds. A lot of cleanly carved out fruit on the palate, very clear, opens with vivid, tightly woven tannins, builds powerfully, firm drive on the finish.
