The red wine Ampeleia IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery Ampeleia has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, intense ruby purple colour. Finely characterised nose, some cardamom, then plums and cherry. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, unfolds with plenty of dense tannins, fruity texture makes the wine supple on the palate, juicy and long finish.
