Tasting Notes
Strong ruby, purple reflections, discreet ochre rim. Fine noble wood savouriness, nuances of candied orange zest, some mint and cassis, black forest berry jam, tobacco touch. Powerful, substantial, ripe blackberry, ripe but vivid tannins, fine nougat touch, pronounced fruity finish, shows very good length. Currently reaching its initial level of maturity, a juicy companion at the table.
More about the tastingImpressively complex aroma: intense and sophisticated at the same time, ethereal wild blueberry, pine conifer, blackberry, menthol, liquorice, a hint of wood (nut, cinnamon, clove). The palate is full of drive, with restrained alcohol, yet with body and extract sweetness, mellow, grainy tannins in probably higher quantities than the sensory impression would lead you to believe. Everything is immaculately ripe and noble, full-bodied and yet quite discreet, with a clear mineral character; the tactile component gains noticeable strength on the finish.
