The red wine Torre Muga Rioja DOCa, vintage 2001 from the winery Bodegas Muga has been rated in 2006 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Carignan, Graciano from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Dark ruby garnet, deep color core, violet reflections, broad watery rim. Leathery-animal nose, almost bordelesque notes, ripe dark fruit. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate, sweet tannins, beginning to enter the first phase of enjoyment, lively and fresh, incredibly animating to drink, yet always serious, fine, dry finish, plum fruit in the aftertaste, further ageing potential for a good ten years.
