The red wine Torre Muga Rioja DOCa, vintage 2010 from the winery Bodegas Muga has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Carignan, Graciano from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Noticeable but not overdone new wood, ripe, slightly shrivelled black cherry. Very dense on the palate, somewhat grainy tannin, very closed wine, a little drying due to the massive (very slightly green) tannin. Acidity takes hold late and remains hidden behind the massive tannin. Long lingering fruit.
