The red wine Lupicaia IGT, vintage 2014 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Tasting Notes
Clear, rich ruby with a slight garnet sheen. Intense nose, opens with spicy notes of cardamom and dark pepper, some pencil lead, dark berries, cedar in the background. On the palate dense and textured, opens with lots of dense tannins, firm and grippy, juicy fruits on the finish.
