The red wine Lupicaia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Amazingly rich and dense ruby, slightly garnet on the rim. Compact and at the same time finely drawn on the nose, opens with notes of cassis and pickled nuts, underpinned by notes of tobacco and truffle. Beautifully ripe fruit on the palate, opens with dense tannins, builds well, salty, long finish.
