The red wine Lupicaia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2005 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark garnet red with ruby reflections and a brightening orange rim. Intense aromas of preserved plums, orange marmalade, a little tar and black truffle on the nose, with a hint of thyme. Fresh on the palate, with herbal savouriness, vivid tannins and a finish of eucalyptus.
