The red wine Lupicaia Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2008 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, dark garnet red colour with a brightening on the rim. Opens with notes of leather and tar, some black truffle, nut compote and cassis. Balanced and surprisingly juicy on the palate, shows lots of sweet fruit texture, finely meshed tannins that carry for a long time, a long-distance runner!
