Tasting Notes
Medium ruby-garnet in colour with a solid core, broad ochre reflections and a watery rim. Delicately smoky nuances on the nose, with subtle animalistic notes, blackberry jam and a floral touch. It's taut on the palate with good complexity and ripe cherry fruit. The vivid tannins have a delicately bitter chocolate touch to them, and there's mineral freshness to the finish. It appears somewhat monolithic, with good length and still some ageing potential.
More about the tastingNovember 2005: Deep ruby garnet, firm color core, delicate ochre rim. Fine caramel on the nose, delicately creamy, hints of sweet malt, some mocha, lemon balm. Stony nuances on the palate, slightly astringent, firm tannins, with a sweet finish, will probably continue in this form for some time.
