Tasting Notes
Barrel sample, spring 2002: Deep dark ruby garnet, delicate violet reflections, still very encapsulated on the nose, sloes and cherries on the palate, medium-bodied, the tannins are still rough, yet the fruit seems quite ripe, almost jammy, already very well developed for the LMHB, red berry finish, somewhat bitter on the finish, where the higher acidity is evident.
