Rich, bright golden yellow. Dense bouquet with nuances of buttered brioche, baked apple and caramel, delicate smoky toasty aromas, and some allspice. Fine-bodied mousse, substantial on the palate with underlying phenolics, very rich fruit, full of character, with a delicate nutty length. It is idiosyncratic and is a very good food wine.
