The finest Syrah in Switzerland and one of the best-known brand wines. Gilles Besse has been vinifying an elegant Valais wine for years. Exciting aromas of cinnamon, cloves and pepper on the nose. Spicy and delicate on the palate with fine tannins and fruit reminiscent of prunes and blackberries. A cool, very elegant Syrah with notes of Christmas biscuits and cinnamon on the finish. Lots of finesse and character. Not a blockbuster, but an aristocratic Syrah reminiscent of the great wines of the Rhône.
