The red wine Hermitage AOC La Chapelle, vintage 1997 from the winery Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné has been rated in 2016 by Ulrich Sautter, Peter Moser, Othmar Kiem with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
A finely scented nose: wild strawberry and balsamic herbs alongside truffle and floral notes. An elegant palate, thanks to a mineral drive that brings vigour without heaviness - creating an almost sinewy experience akin to a granite fist in a velvet glove. Transparent and clear in structure., with tannins barely there but also rich and without astringency. Close to the peak of maturity.
