The white wine Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Clos des Monts Luisants blanc, vintage 2017 from the winery Domaine Ponsot has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aligoté from the region Bourgogne in France.
On the nose: salted liquorice, a slightly floral hint, and a buttery note. It's full-bodied on the palate with a piquant acidity allied to vivid phenolics. The intensity and tension are exceptional, although the wine remains rather medium in complexity and seems a little less finely chiseled than 2019. Still has good length and the best prospects for ageing.
