The sparkling wine »Prestige« Rosé extra brut, vintage 2014 from the winery Griesel & Compagnie has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Hessische Bergstraße in Germany.
Pastel colours, dusty pink. Grapey aroma, delicately yeasty, almond, red currant. Fine yet voluminous mousse, ripe, supporting acidity, lots of juice and traction, mineral underpinnings, a touch of sweetness underscores the fruit. Very elegant.
More about the tastingRubber, yeast, cherry, raspberry, also a hint of tertiary notes, very fine mousse, almost creamy, subtle fruit, completely self-contained, ripe acidity, unaffected freshness, a hint of tannin additionally enlivens. Could even go with food!
