The red wine Scrio Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, dark ruby. Opens with emphatically savoury notes of cedar wood, white pepper, cardamom and a lot of blueberry. On the palate great balance and it alternates between savoury and fruity notes, backed up with fine-meshed tannin right through to the end. Very long.
