The red wine Messorio Merlot IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2015 with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense, deep dark ruby-purple. Impressive nose, dense and at the same time finely marked, aromas of blackberries, ripe wild raspberries and liquorice, profound. Great on the palate, shows a lot of dark berry fruit initially, then opens with dense, polished tannins that build in many layers, very long finish and firm drive.
