The red wine Messorio Merlot IGT, vintage 2014 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby with a garnet rim. Opens with pronounced savoury notes, nuances of cardamom and bay leaf, followed by blackberry. On the palate, plenty of hearty, grippy tannins, opens with notes of spices, but then rough and slightly drying on the finish.
