Bright, intense ruby with a pronounced purple shimmer. Opens on the nose with notes of undergrowth, some pepper and galangal, then plum, some graphite. Spreads out beautifully on the palate, grippy, finely meshed tannins in many layers, has drive and juice, lots of plum on the finish.
