The red wine Messorio Toscana IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Powerful, shiny ruby with purple glints. Open and accessible on the nose, charming notes of black cherry, wild raspberry and some cardamom. Very good tension on the palate with fine-meshed tannin, juicy, lots of tangy fruit and with tobacco on the finish.
