The red wine Paleo Rosso Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby-purple with slight brightening on the rim. Opens on the nose with pronounced notes of spice, white pepper, oregano and thyme, then raspberry and cassis. A lot of sweet, dark berry fruit on the palate with grippy, pithy tannins, plus a fine sweet texture and a firm drive and long finish.
