The red wine Messorio Merlot IGT, vintage 2001 from the winery Le Macchiole has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Opaque, almost black robe, nose of floor wax and varnish, intense bouquet, very balsamic, not really pleasant. Inharmonious on the palate, demanding tannins, strongly structured acidity, tangerines, a somewhat wild aromatic mixture, somewhat dry on the finish.
