The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOC, vintage 2003 from the winery Provolo has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella , Corvinone Veronese from the region Veneto in Italy.
Intense, dark impenetrable ruby red. On the nose tones of very ripe dried fruit, malty nuances, lightly anchovy. The palate is compact with gripping tannins, seems rustic, notes of dark chocolate and dried plums, has a good structure, long finish.
