The red wine Sarmassa di Barolo DOCG, vintage 2007 from the winery Roberto Voerzio has been rated in 2011 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Rich, flint ruby-garnet colour. Very intense and rich nose, beginning with blackberries, plums and wild raspberries, then leading to liquorice and cloves. Extremely supple and rich on the palate, opens with lots of fine-grained tannins, spreads out beautifully and richly, very beautiful fruit, firm drive on the finish, polished.
