The nose is subtly characterised by savoury notes from the spontaneous fermentation, nettle, wet leaves, some malt and yellow stone fruit. With good substance on the palate supported by extract, the stable, balanced acidity forms the backbone of the Auslese, which is emphasised by the minerality of the site. Herbal and slightly salty notes on the finish, lingers long on the palate, good certain ageing potential.
