The red wine Admiral, vintage 1997 from the winery Weingut Pöckl has been rated in 2007 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet, deep core, youthful reflections. Powerful ruby garnet on the nose, delicate rim brightening. Dark berry confit on the nose with a fine spicy-tobacco background, some plum fruit, mineral, but also a hint of honey. Fresh on the palate, complex, compact tannins, firm body, develops excellently in the glass, very balanced, good length, dark berries in the finish, good food companion, a wine with substance.
