The white wine »Kalkmergel« Bissersheim Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Beeswax, pear, cherry blossom and acacia honey on the nose, overlaid with a vanilla-lactic hint, more exotic fruit flavours develop with air. The palate starts with a woody sweetness, then a firm acidity grabs hold. A lovely accompaniment to food.
