Tallinn’s restaurants are preparing for one of the city’s most well-known food events. From March 11 to 22, Tallinn Restaurant Week returns for its 25th edition, bringing together more than a hundred restaurants and thousands of diners for ten days of discovering the capital’s dining scene through specially created menus.

From March 11 to 22, Tallinn’s dining scene opens its doors wider than usual as Tallinn Restaurant Week returns for its 25th edition. What began in 2011 as a small initiative by local restaurateurs has grown into one of the city’s most attractive food events, inviting both residents and visitors to explore Tallinn’s restaurants.

This spring, 104 restaurants are taking part, offering specially created set menus that reflect each kitchen’s style while remaining accessible in price. Across the city, more than 30,000 seats will be available, turning the week into a large-scale celebration of dining as a cultural experience.

To keep the experience approachable, menus are offered in two pricing categories. Guests can choose lunch menus priced at €15 or €20, while dinner menus are available for €25 or €40, depending on the restaurant. Each menu is typically built from dishes inspired by the restaurant’s à la carte selection, allowing chefs to present their culinary ideas while maintaining a structured format for the week.

Many participating restaurants will also highlight dishes marked with a Green Choice label — options that emphasise vegan cooking, organic ingredients, locally sourced fish, or meat from grass-fed animals and game hunted in Estonia. The initiative encourages both chefs and guests to think more consciously about sustainability and local sourcing.

For ten days, Tallinn Restaurant Week becomes an open invitation to discover the city’s evolving food culture — from neighbourhood favourites to ambitious fine dining kitchens — all through menus designed to present what each restaurant does best.
