The red wine Lupicaia, vintage 2012 from the winery Castello del Terriccio has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Shiny ruby with a slight purple tinge. Opens with fine spicy notes, of curry herb, some mint, then lots of cassis and blackberry. Full and lively on the palate, opens with dense tannins, hearty and grippy, earthy with tobacco notes on the finish, firm drive.
