Tasting Notes
A good, but overrated and too expensive Mouton vintage: strong carmine garnet, delicate watery rim. A certain dark berry sweetness on the nose, but not very concentrated, not a perfect texture, overall clean and balanced, little terroir character, red berry finish, medium length. Another bottle has a delicately smoky nose with a fine velour underlay, fine mint, black pepper, full-bodied, sour cherry note, delicately leafy, firm tannin core, fine blackberry note, fresh, good potential. Recent fine cocoa nuances, some caramel. Fresh structure on the palate, red berry fruit, delicate cherry notes, elegant and full of finesse. Always rated identically.
