The red wine Château Mouton Rothschild, vintage 2007 from the winery Château Mouton Rothschild has been rated in 2008 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Pauillac in France.
Deep dark ruby garnet, youthful reflections, violet rim. Delicately smoky dark berry fruit on the nose, some cassis and orange zest, mineral components. Juicy and complex on the palate, good structure with firm tannins, again very mineral, lingers well, delicate sour cherry note on the finish, good length. At the moment, everything is still framed by a black wood note, which of course still seems a little bitter, but will disappear with further barrel ageing.
