The red wine Clos de la Roche Appellation Contrôlée, vintage 1943 from the winery Domaine Ponsot has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Cote de Nuits in France.
Mineral scent, flint and damp chalk, only hints of ripeness, some coffee grounds, a hint of plum, leather, some caramel. With time in the glass, the smoky lime notes become more and more intense. On the palate, the wine has a loosely knit tannin filling, light green tones, lots of juiciness in the background, the acidity is present but integrated. In addition to the light green tones, there is also a certain sweetness in the fruit.
